John Carrick Smith

John Carrick Smith holds a B.Sc. in geology from London University and worked as a professional geologist
in Australia for four years (1978-1982).

On returning to the UK he was employed as an analyst and institutional stockbroker with Cazenove & Co, (1983-1988), HSBC James Capel, (1988-1996) and ANZ Securities (1996-1998). He specialised in Resources and Emerging Markets

In 1999 he set up (as a founding director), a specialist IR agency providing investor relations advice for domestic
and international companies.

He founded Burvale Management Consultants in 2001.
He is a member of the Investor Relations Society and
the Securities Institute.
